BuiltGreen and LEED Canada for Homes CARB is partnering with the BuiltGreen Society of Canada and LEED Canada for Homes to allow our builder members to have a choice in the brand of energy efficient home they build.  BuiltGreen is a program that started in Alberta in 2003 and moved into British Columbia a couple of years later. Since then, thousands of homes have been built to the BuiltGreen standard, by far the most of any 'green housing" brand in western Canada. BuiltGreen homes are certified by a third party and are based on the federal government's EnerGuide rating system.
LEED Canada For Homes now has applications for both single and multi-family homes and includes two on-site verification inspections to ensure the home is third-party verified, giving your consumer both tremendous comfort and pride in their home.With consumers, governments and others making energy efficient homes a growing part of daily thinking, we encourage our builders to explore both great programs.
